T-Mobile's German division (Deutschland) introduced the new MDA IV, their latest 3G PDA phone and successor to the MDA III. Based on the Windows Mobile operating system, it integrates WLAN, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, and Bluetooth technologies. The MDA IV is a tri-band GSM phone that operates on the 900, 1800, and 1900Mhz network bands. It features a large VGA screen displaying a resolution of 640x480, a full QWERTY keyboard, and two built-in cameras that allow for video calling. The display also swivels, reminiscent of Sony's CLIE handhelds, and can be used with with or without the keyboard exposed. The unit is powered by a 520 MHz Intel XScale processor.
