Thought your bluetooth cameraphone was fast? Or that your digital mp3 music player/cameraphone was high-tech? NTT DoCoMo’s new phones show the future of cellphones everywhere else in the world.

The 9 series, which are pictured above, are the gateway to the 4G network in Japan (the United States and most of Europe still are trying to reach 3G). Here, phones are already used as debit cards, and that’s old news.

The new generation of cameraphones, cellphones, and videophones have all merged together and are now vying for a spot for your iPod and TV remotes. NTT DoCoMo has announced several field tests that confirm being able to download an entire! DVD in 12 seconds, or a complete CD in 2 seconds. You can then watch or listen to your downloads on your phone.

You’ll soon be able to also use your phone as a remote control for your TV, DVD, stereo, and other home electronics. With cameraphones able to wirelessly link to your computer and printer through bluetooth now, it seems as though anything is possible for your phone in the future.
