What makes the CU320 special is that it will be one of the initial two handsets to be offered by Cingular for use on the company's newly rolled out WCDMA/HSDPA network. While it does not support the faster HSDPA spec, its dual-band 850/1900Mhz WCDMA support means that it will support 3G connections on all of Cingular's networks in supported cities, even if that also means that it will not work on the UMTS networks found in the rest of the world that run on the 2100Mhz band. But since the CU320 supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE on the 1800Mhz band used in much of the world (as well as 850/1900Mhz in North America), there is still some ability to roam in other countries.
